For beverages and meals sample the variety of lakeside roadhouses like the Blue Bonnet Cafe and Tavern (830-793-2906), where they specialize in freshwater catfish. Northwest of the lake is Fall Creek Vineyards, a 65-acre estate Texas winery. About 12 miles southeast is the former outlaw hideout now called the Longhorn Cavern State Park, with cave tours and nature trails.
