Giddings CC is a typical small town course with wide fairways, mature trees, minimal bunkers, and enough water to cause problems, Giddings Country Club offers an enjoyable round of golf. You can pay once and play all day, and you’ll be able to score better once you get used to the small, mound-shaped greens that are hard to hit in regulation, and even harder to chip to and avoid having your ball roll down the other side. In the summer the rough can be thick, so keep it in the fairway if you can.
Getting there : From Austin, take Hwy. 290 west for 48 miles to Giddings. Turn right at the Wal-Mart and drive 1.5 miles to the course. The entrance is on the left-hand side of the road.
