Located 9 miles southeast of Marble Falls, due west of Austin on winding Hwy. 71, Spicewood is a famous little lakeside conglomeration of food joints and weekend getaways, and really not much more than a post office. The area is home to three exclusive golf courses and spectacular golf, but the average golf explorer will be more interested in the toned-down Pedernales Country Club, which is owned by none other than Texas hero Willie Nelson
