The Shores Course offers a few more uneven lies at it rolls through the hilliest part of the property. Like Pinehurst, its opening hole is perhaps the toughest: a 555-yard par 5 that is particularly mean into the wind. This track is probably the toughest of the three, with long par 4s and a 220-yard par 3 (No. 8).
No. 6, the signature hole on the Point Course, starts a tough stretch of holes as a 404-yarder that involves a longish approach into a green surrounded by bunkers. No. 6 is followed by a 550-yard par 5 and two more 400-yard-plus par 4s.
Getting there : From I-59, take FM 1960 east to Pinehurst Trails. Turn left, look for the course sign, then turn right into the parking lot.
