In 1882, when Burleson got its start, the local saloon also housed the first post office. The town’s location on the railroad helped Burleson prosper as an agricultural community. Then in the 1920s, Texas 21 was built from Fort Worth to Alvarado, creating more opportunities for growth. A commuter community for Fort Worth today, Burleson is home to over 20,000 residents and two fabulous golf courses.

Besides the chains, there’s Lafayette (555-555-5555), which specializes in seafood in the home of the town’s old steakhouse. Antonio’s (555-555-5555) on Main is popular as well. The nicest hotel is the Comfort Suites (817-426-6666), where you can cozy up in the indoor hot tub with your evening companion.
