Originally built in 1932, this longtime 9-hole favorite has been beloved by downtowners for ages because of its central location. The city purchased the course in 1977 and expanded the original 36 acres to 92 in the early 1990s. The remodel involved opening up the fairways and enlarging the greens. Trees and bunkers were added to give the old track even more character.

No. 1 is notable for its elevated tee, playing down to the fairway about 30 feet below. And No. 8 is the only par 5, a welcome birdie opportunity for the low handicapper.

Getting there : From Fort Worth, take Hwy. 287 north. The course is located just off 287 between Riverside and Vickery, on the right hand side.

Unbelievably sad. I have called this golf course over a dozen times and can not get anyone to answer the phone. I booked a tee time online and received a tee time confirmation email. I ended up changing to a different course and wanted to give an adequate/courtesy cancellation notice to Sycamore as required by the website in order not to incur possible charges. I tried to cancel via my email confirmation on the cancellation tab given on the email but again to no avail. I called Golf Now and they incurred the same results. I am finished with this golf course and don't recommend taking your business there. Whoever is in charge of the facility is obviously not doing a good job drawing in new business.
