OK course, friendly check in, would prefer more of a presence of marshall

Timberview was ok for the money. The course was in decent shape for the price, and there were some challenging holes overall. The water hazards are really flat and hard to see from some areas, which makes it fun and challenging. We were greeted by a super friendly check in guy, and he even let us start early.

My complaints are small, but did make a difference in our day.

1. Cart paths need some attention. In some areas there are just small dirt paths that can be pretty rough. I think this is the reason there was no beverage cart. I know we got really thirsty, so if you go be sure to bring a cooler or something.

2. Was not a direct complaint on the course, but.... at around hole 14 I noticed that the pair behind us was now a different pair of guys. By hole 15 one of the two was screaming at us for "slow play" and "sharing" a putter when i wanted to try my friend's putter out. We confronted him and told him that there is a group of 4 in front of us and we are playing as fast as we can without driving into them. He wouldn't listen and kept screaming at us. Then for the next couple of holes I heard him screaming every few seconds, and I think he tossed one of his clubs as well. Then when we dropped off our cart, the couple was still badmouthing us by our cars and throwing a temper tantrum. We told the office what happened but the only response we got was "sorry but you are both paying customers."

I guess the point of the story is that if there is a raving lunatic on the course that more than one group of players can hear screaming, then the course marshall should do something about it.

Wide open fairways and soft, slow greens.

Great staff, good clubhouse. Like a cow pasture outside of the fairways. Nice, relaxing time.

Needs alot of attention

This course looks more like someones farm/ranch that they mowed in a few places and put holes on. It is need of alot of work starting with the basic grass trimming. Some T boxes were so high the grassed reached the top of the T. The greens are so slow due to tons of water or not being trimmed. The cart path need a polaris to navigate, so I would say the owners need to pour some money into this course. For $25 I can get alot better deals on Golf Now.

This course has the hardest fairways and the slowest greens.

The fairways were very hard and not well maintained. The greens were the slowest I have ever putted on. Some holes were very challenging. There are other places around that are in better shape for the same amount of money.

Nice pace slow greens

Only hole we had to wait was on one. Greens were super slow even though they were fresh cut.

Inexpensive and fair

The course is in fair to average shape. Cart parths are dirt and rough and greens are very slow. Fairways can play a little hard, but are okay. It is a reasonable value for the price and good place to grab a quick and cheap round of golf. The course plays pretty easy and 16-17 are probably most challenging holes since both bring water into play.

Great weekend alternative when your favorite course is booked

The greens and fairways are maintained, watered and kept in good shape. The greens are slow because of mower height, but it beats the many courses who have done a poor job sanding and aerating and have not yet recovered. Played with three and finished in under 3 hrs, not stacked up either. Good value for a Saturday afternoon.

Great Course for the Hot Deal

The course was in better condition than I expected. The greens were a little thick and slow but everything was really great. I plan on going back out there. It was a great place for me to go work on my game.

Good course

I really like this course, played it many times. Very good price if you use Golf Now website, otherwise still a good deal. This course does have some challenge type holes mostly over water, 17 is very much so. I would recommend this course to all that looks for value and good play on a well maintained course. Only complaint I have is lack of bunkers, and bumpy cart paths that are not paved.

Great to practice on

Very inexpensive, and OK to go out for a practice round or just to get out of the house. Small greens and many holes are short, so suggest you play the tips to make it a little harder. Good alternative when you can't get on some of the more expensive courses. Course is in a lot better shape than it was a 3-5 years ago.

The layout was good and the staff was friendly. There were some good greens and others were marginal.

The course had wide fairways that allowed less skilled players to keep up and not slow the pace. There is evidence that the course will get better once "full Springtime weather" returns. Overall it was a good outing, fun, average challenges. I would like to see a marshal out on the course to keep some from on the course teaching lessons. The clubhouse was clean and well maintained. Restrooms were clean and the overall environment was pleasant. The back 9 seemed have more challenges than the front 9. I will play there again because of the friendly staff and the improvements that have been made at the course.

Hidden gem of a course that's a great value for the money.

Now I'm not going to come on here and say this course is right up there with Augusta, but when your on a budget and want to play a relaxing round of golf you cannot beat Timberview. The course has narrow but forgiving fairways and small challenging greens. Perfect course to hone in your accuracy. I've lived in Fort Worth all my life, but I never knew this course existed. The course needs a little TLC but the greens and fairways are decent and you can't beat the price. You can tell they are striving to improve and maintain the course and their customer service is awesome! Really down to earth people working there. I will most definitely be going back!

good for the price

Fairways can be very close to each other, they need to improve and complete paved cart paths, need to have weekend drink cart service, and need to space out tee times better. Also warn twosomes & singles not to rush or play into the foursomes in front of them. Other than that, the course was fun to play, and the club house staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Good place to work on your game.

My wife is learning the game of golf. A good place to play to work with her & not worry about being hurried. Course needs work, but with the small greens, it makes you work hitting into them.
