Grapevine Municipal Golf Course

The golf : Nestled below the Lake Grapevine dam, one of the DFW-area’s most popular courses now boasts a much-needed upgrade from its original 1978 Joe Finger/Byron Nelson design. After a few years of renovations, 27 new D.A. Weibring-designed holes are now open for play.
The newest nine, known as Bluebonnet, opened for play in 1999, highlighted by fast Tif-Eagle greens and some impressive elevation changes that often require blinds shots.

Mockingbird, the front nine of the old course, opened next, complementing Bluebonnet with a similar design. During the 2002 season the course was somewhat immature, but will be in prime shape for the 2003 season and beyond, especially since the course is so well-watered via its lakeside location.
The final renovation occurred on the Pecan, which runs closest to the dam, scheduled to open for play sometime in the summer of 2003.
