John Colligan (Squaw Creek in Glen Rose) designed this par 72, 6,850-yard track around Low Branch Creek and a large 5-acre lake that impacts play on the back nine. The tees range from 5,263 to 6,850 yards and the course plays to a par 72. The large, undulating greens make for inviting targets. The fairways are lined by every type of tree imaginable, with bunkers looming to suck in tee shots.

Scores can add up on holes 11 and 16, with the lake coming into play, but water comes into play on only four holes total.

The best hole is No. 5, considered one of the toughest par 3s in North Texas. It plays a very 3-wood-like 233 yards into a tough green that’s hard to hold with the wind at your back.

Getting there : From Dallas, take I-30 or I-20 west to State Hwy. 360. Go south on Hwy. 360 all the way to National Parkway. Turn east (left) on National Parkway and you can't miss the clubhouse (on your left).
