McKinney Country Club
Considered among the top 10 in Texas 9-hole courses, McKinney CC is an old, traditional track that offers a very fair par 36 challenge. Playing to only 3,074 yards with every par 4 under 400 yards from the tips, there are plenty of chances to score well on this course. No. 2 is the longest hole and the number one handicap, a 507-yard par 5 sandwiched between the short 317-yard opening hole and the testy 185-yard No. 3. Holes 6-7 serves up a nice stretch of golf, starting with a 432-yard par 5 that’s followed by a short par 3 and par 4.
Getting there : Take I-75 north to Hwy. 5. Turn east down FM 1378, which turns into Country Club Rd. at about 2 miles. The entrance is on the left.
