A 9-hole par 3 track, A-1 features holes ranging from 75-190 yards, with elevated tees and greens and water in play on three holes. No. 7 is considered the signature, about a 100-yard hole into an island green. While there are no bunkers, the lighted practice facility and driving range have everything you’ll need to work on all aspects of your game. The club is also considering adding lights to the par 3 course.

Getting there : Take Exit 70 off of I-30, and the course is on the north side of the interstate.

Truly the worst customer service The front door was locked, but had a sign on the front door that said, "Range CLOSED, Course OPEN" and a sign that said come around back. When I got around back the
"employee" was at the door unwilling to let me open the door to come in, he was pointing at the sign, like I could not read, He started yelling at me, "You going to play or not?" I said, "Yes, but I figured I needed to come in and play." He yell, "Well it is not for free"...I had not been greeted and I was yelled at twice for just trying to go inside to pay to play. I said not here, never again and left. Why would anyone want to come to this place. If this guy was an employee he should be fired, if he owns the place he should closed the business down, Life is to short to be entertained by a JERK like this. Avoid this place! Go to Buffalo Creek, Waterview, The Shores, Stone River or Top Golf spend your money wisely, any place but at A-1 Golf Center, Ha! what a name A-1 were there is nothing A-1 about this place.

My son and I play this course fairly regularly. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff at the counter. They have always been very friendly and courteous and have even asked if we need anything to make our round of golf better. The course route can be a little confusing the first time you play it, but if you'll just grab a course map at the counter, it clearly shows you the route. My son and I especially like the challenge of #7 green, with its horseshoe shaped pond that wraps around from the front of the green around the right side and the whole back side. It will definitely help you hone your accuracy because if you hit it short, you're in the water; hit it long and you're in the water; shank it to the right, and you got it...you're in the water! For being a par-3 course, I think it's a great little course to get out and get your golf on!

Read all the negative reviews online but by 4 year old son kept asking to go golfing. We have been here 3 times and we love it. Never a rush on the course. Son is able to play every hole on the course. Everyone we have had interactions with has been nothing shy than amazing. I will continue to take my son to play here. Love how you get a warm up bucket of balls with every round.

I hear nothing but bad things about the owner and the older man that works there is the friendliest guy ever. Not sure if it's volunteer or not but he should get a raise or ownership of the place. It was me and fathers first time today, and his hospitality was on point and very respectful and social. Yet to experience my encounter with the owner. All these reviews and close friends of mine say the same things about him. Not good.

I would have to consider this par three course as the Augusta Par 3 Course that they always to the day before the Masters. The greens here have to be rolling a solid 13-14 on the stent meter the range balls are in perfect condition the golf carts had nice leather interior and also the course had a extremely good short game area and the owner was quiet nice to me and my friends we got to play nine holes and hit range balls and practice short game here for a fraction of the cost. I would highly recommend this par 3 course it is superb.

Don't let the reviews fool you. A1 golf center is very good for what it is- a par 3 course+driving range in a small town.

It costs $16 per person per round and that includes range balls and a cart rental. The staff was friendly and the course was well-kept.

As far as the golf goes, you can pretty much rely solely on your 5-iron off the tee. The on exception is the longest hole- # 9, which plays 190 yds off the back tee, so I used a fairway wood there. Hole 7 is an adventure, taking a semi-island green form, at 98 yards from the back tee.

I've played there three times and enjoyed it every time. I would recommend giving it a shot if you live near Rockwall.

If I could buy this place I would and immediately fire the jerk who runs it. If there was any other option in Rockwall this place would be a hay or corn field.

The Yankee who runs the place needs to head back north. He can't stand kids and makes you feel like he's doing you a favor by letting you hit his 60 Compression cut range balls.

Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but it's the same drill ever time he's there. Will never go back unless there is new ownership.

Awful experience and it's a shame this guy has anything to do with the game of Golf..

If the guy working the pro shop is the owner he's bar none the most unfriendly asshole I've ever encountered at a business in my entire life. Because it's the only range in the area we have been forced to to practice here on more than 10 occasions. No exaggeration the guy is the rudest most inhospitable asshole ever. He absolutely hates kids and makes families feel as unwelcome as he possibly can, I guess in hopes that you won't come back. IF he's not the owner and the owner happens to read this review you should know this jerk is bound to cost you at least 50% of profits because of his attitude and caustic personality towards the patrons. He must be family or have blackmailed his way into the job, because I can't imagine any owner keeping this jerk on as an employee. He's so unfriendly I can't imagine no other patrons have complained repeatedly about his demeanor. We actually drive 30 mins to the range in Campbell now just to avoid dealing with this sack o' shit. What a complete shame that we can't go enjoy the course or practice area because of one individual who daily acts as if someone pissed in his cheerios.

I was worried from the other reviews- but the owner and the course was perfect! We wanted a fun family thing to do on Easter and he even waited last the time he was going to close to let us play 9 holes. We got to hit 2 buckets of balls before we played the course and there was another man and his daughter hitting side by side. He was very nice and polite.
    Will go here again.

I love A-1 golf!!!! we have young children and they have a separate area where I can teach my babies and not interfere with the serious golfers-my children can hit balls or look at bugs or anything else they want to do-attention span! I will always take my children to A-1 because they know kids!~

For the $, this par 3 facility is just fine for working on your short game. The tee boxes are all 10-20 yards long so you can pick your yardage. Greens, at last right now (early August) are about a 4 out of 10, but the practice green is much better.

This Place is Awful! if you like being disrespected and yelled at be my guest. We have been here many many times. When we go, we go with our 7 year old daughter. They set us up on the side where the kids can hit the balls away from the other adults. We have always been able to hit our bucket of balls with our daughter in the kids area. This last time we went in we did what we normally due and bought our bucket of balls. As we are heading over the guys preceded to tell us after we have paid for the buckets, that we could not hit any balls with our 7 year old daughter way on the other side of the area. that she would have to be over their by her self away from us. I of course was not okay with this leaving my 7 year old daughter all by her self. So my husband hit a few balls as my daughter an I waited. since we were not able to do this as a family my husband gave away the rest of the bucket and we walked out. I let the guy know that we would not be back that he could have let us know this before we purchased our buckets. He started yelling at me telling me that he did tells us and that we just didn't listen. (which was not at all true). This man does not deserve to have a business with the way that he runs this place. We will not ever step foot near this place again pour money is better off at another driving range. And unless you wanted to be treated badly and disrespected i would stay clear.
