Trophy Club of Dallas

The golf : Trophy Club opened with nine holes in 1976, but is now the complete weekend experience with two 18-hole championship courses.
The original 9-hole Hogan Course is known as the only course that Ben Hogan designed, and was rounded out by Arthur Hills some 20 years later when he came in to add the second nine as well as his Hills Course.
Notable holes on the Hills include back-to-back toughies on the front–No. 6 at 395 yards is a mean par 4 with a fairway bunker, and No. 7 is a challenging par 5 at 516 yards. The best hole is the 18th, a454-yard dogleg-left bruiser that bends around a lake guarding the fairway and green.

Getting there : From Dallas, take Hwy. 114 west through Grapevine. The entrance is 6 miles past Grapevine on the right side of the road.
