Ralph Plummer built this in the early 1970s for employees of the Lockheed Martin plant, but today Squaw Creek is open to the public. Its namesake creek runs through the property, and the course is popular because of its sloping, bermuda grass greens. Walkers might have a rough go of it, as the terrain is fairly rugged and there are significant elevation changes.
Playing from the tips, you’ll face quite a few 400-yard-plus par 4s, and a pair of par 3s that are over 200 yards. The number one handicap is the 595-yard No. 16.
Getting there : From I-30 west, take the 418 exit and turn right on Ranch House Rd. The entrance is on the left side of the road.

Squaw Creek is a great golf course that just got a new renovation recently in 2016. The new layout is fair for all levels of the game! The course is open to the public and the staff is really nice and accommodating. One interesting thing is that you can BYOB at the course unlike other courses if that is something you want during a round. The rate are very fair. I highly recommend coming to play golf in Willow Park. They also have a First Tee youth golf program that is really great if you have young kids that you want to introduce to the game.Awesome course. I play this course regularly, and I have made at least 6 birdies over the past 10 years. I have a 35 handicap, so that is pretty good.Great dynamic course, huge trees for great shade in the hot summer months. A secret gem that is in great shape w fabulous greens. Challenging yet forgiving (on some holes). Try it you will not be disappointed.Toughest course I have played in a long time. Fairways were pristine and the greens are lightning fast. Well worth the fee.
Men that don't have much distance any more will be well challenged by the Sr. Members course (plays from combination of ladies' and white tees) without having to hit 250 yard drives to do well. The course will challenge scratch golfers from the black tees.
I have never played a course that is better maintained. It's simply beautiful.
