This 9-hole course plays just under 2,400 yards, with minimal hazards, wide-open fairways, and basic, medium-sized greens. Unless you find yourself in a grudge match with Grandpa, work on your game by playing Star Harbor with one club, say a 7 iron, and work on mastering different types of shots with that club.
Getting there : From Tyler, take Hwy 31 west and drive 45 miles to Hwy 198. Turn north, then proceed 2 miles to Star Harbor Rd. Turn left 4 miles into Malakoff and the course is just down the road. (Note: Star Harbor Road turns into Sunset).
