Editor's Note: Course closed for business.
Originally known as Cross Creek, this old course dates back to the early days of Texas golf. On this short, public course the narrow fairways roll through hilly East Texas terrain and are lined by tall, mature trees (pines and oaks). Water is not a predominant hazard here, with only a pond and a creek impacting two holes. The back nine is more difficult than the front, highlighted by the layout’s two signature holes, Nos. 11 and 17.
Other notes: Locals brag about the pristine condition of the greens. Ladies receive discounts on Wednesdays.
Getting there : From Hwy. 31 or Loop 323, circle around Tyler. Merge back onto Hwy 31 and head 1 mile west to the course.
