Pine Springs opened about three years ago and has gained the distinguished reputation of having unbelievably pure greens. This new course offers the benefits of modern design, featuring tough bunkering and water that gets in the way. A few holes feature ponds that must be carried on the approach. Hole 16 is one of the toughest, primarily because of the water.

Getting there : From I-20 exit 271 and head towards the right for 3 miles. Turn right before the UT Health Center and drive 1 mile down the road. Turn left, then look for the course on the left side of the road.

Good open fairways. Greens are usually as good or better than the best courses in town. Sure it seems like it may not be nice at first glance, but the last couple of years this course has been well maintained. No beverage cart, but you can bring your own cooler.

I started playing this course in May 2016. The course is in fantastic shape even with this current hot summer. Good grass in the fairways and the greens are smooth and thick. Highly recommended.

My brother-in-law and I arrive for a 10:20 tee time. We brought our own cart. We were told that we still had to pay the full price of $40 each, which includes a cart rental fee. I asked what the walking price was, and we were told $26.00. We paid the walking price and then proceeded to use our own cart. Management rode up to us at the 2nd tee and asked why we were using our own cart instead of walking. We said we would be happy to pay a trail fee, but we weren't okay with paying for a full cart rental when we went to the trouble of brining our own cart. They told us it was $40.00 or leave, so we left. I moved to the area last week and I play golf twice per week. They could have made $52/week off of me plus a trail fee, but I will not be back.

Pro shop (if you could call it that) very rude and act as if it is Pebble Beach. Stay away and play a real golf course.

Nice Course but the pro shop employees are very rude. Makes me not want to play there.
