Clay County is a long, challenging course that breaks the mold of the simple, small-town architecture. Older than other courses in the area, this course was built in the 1970s and is more modern than most. Featuring long par 4s, many of which are over 400 yards, the track totals over 3,200 yards and has water on six of the nine holes. Trees line the fairways so you’re not safe if you fail to hit it straight. Pay once and play all day.

Getting there : From Dallas, take Hwy 287 west and exit Spur 510. Turn left and drive .25 mile to the course. The entrance is on the right side of the road.
