Quick round
Picked up a hot deal and went to play before the weather was going to change. Nice layout, greens had some bumpiness to them, but great deal for the price. Heard it was supposed to close at the first of the year, but still open and being kept up. I wish it would remain open, only decent course in Baytown.
Evergreen point
Nice course , fast greens ... Overall a great course for the price ...
evergreen point
course in good shape except for bunkers.interesting layout & fun to play
Nice layout with ups and downs throughout.
This course has some long playing holes from all tee boxes, always in great shape, but may be closing soon.
December Play
This course was in pretty good shape for the time of year. The carts however were not in good shape and are probably in need of replacement. Had one go out on us and the replacement wasn't much better.
The greens were quick but fair. The bunkers were also in good shape. A good overall experience.
Keep it open
I've played this course for years, it's in about as bad a shape as I've seen it. Still playable, but needs some attention. I hope they keep it open and bring it back to how it used to be.
Fast but bumpy greens
The greens were fast but we're not rolled and true. Bumps would cause your ball to go off line and roll past the hole. The bunkers need a lot of work. Very little sand in them
Great Course
It is unclear if this golf course will close down for good. It is an outstanding layout and has been a great course to play over the years. Greens were kinda rough thou. Make sure you bring SEVERAL bottles of Mosquito spray with you and a fogger for the cart. Bunkers were unplayable, took relief from all of them.
Herbicide, sand traps, mowing
Entirely too many weeds on the greens, in the traps, in the fairway. Rained recently but looks like it has still been too long since mowing. Traps don't look like they have had any maintenance for months. For the poor condition the greens did roll reasonably well.
Worth the Trip
For a course known for Mosquitos and rumored to be closing down soon, it was in very good shape and well worth the money and the trip. So play it soon and often.
-Watch out for the gators...
A good working man's golf course
Can't beat a nice day off playing golf at a working man's golf course.
Incredibly good fairways
Course in fine condition, though the greens need a little care to avoid the spreading of a weed that can make the surface bumpy.
Fast pace...we finished in under four hours.
Course used to be amazing....
This used to be one of the best hidden gem courses in Houston. The layout is challenging and that is the only thing this course has left. The fairways are just like your front yard if you mowed it short, the greens are completely eaten up with crab grass or just muddy dead spots, the sand traps are rock hard every where with most full of weeds. The course has not had a certified superintendent to take care of the place since 2012 apparently, hopefully the city of Baytown can buy this course and turn it into a muni soon. It is a same that this track is now a complete waste of money.
Not worth it unless u r bored at home
My tee time was at 730am and no one in club house. The only employee that was there was cart boy waiting at 630 am to get in. Not even the poor guy had a key to gate. Pathetic!!!!! Finally after the cart boy got a hold of someone around 800am gave him the ok for us to enter through side gate through the grass and into parking lot. UNREAL!! 20 min later an employee working the pro shop showed up half asleep checked us in around 840am. ONE HOUR AND 20 mins from my tee time. Ridiculous!!! Then have to put up with the course condition OMG!!!! I'm surprise even Golf Now has them on their web site. NOT WORTH the discount. Sand traps are terrible, greens are less than fair and the fairs ways are almost like hitting out of a cow pasture. The only bright things out of this ordeal we saw the bald eagle on eighteen. It's a shame that it has to drink that nasty stagnant pond water!!!! The only reason I gave the pace of play 4 stars cause no one was in front of us!!
Average course
Great lay out for golf but greens need work. Fairways are average. Sand traps are unplayable. Good deal on Golfnow but wouldn't pay 46 dollars for weekend golf at this course. Only one lady in restaurant to do the cooking and serve drinks. Left after waiting 30 minutes to get a drink. Not ladies fault.
Play this gem before it closes in November!
Still a decent course, greens are somewhat bumpy on 4-5 holes, but overall course condition is great. Pace of play was excellent; finished in 3 hours.
love the greens
this course is very well kept except for the sand traps. cart trails are cement and wide.lots of trees and water . not flat at all.
Nice Course Layout and can not beat the GolfNow Hot Deal
Played course in under 3 hours as a single cart rider. Course in fair to good shape. Has a nice chipping and putting areas you can use. Did not hit balls on the driving range. Not extremely long from the senior tees. some water hazards on course and a nice challenge. Can not beat the GolfNow HotDeals offered for this course. Would play again.
hidden gem
played this course unfortunately wasn't able to finish because of the weather...but i was highly impressed. nice course even in the rain.....carts were nice have ball cleaner and club cleaner on the cart now thats doesn't seem like much but it was real convenient.....course was in great condition i will definitely be back real soon
