Port Groves Golf Club

This flat course features small, elevated greens and narrow fairways. The course's signature hole is No. 3, a 390-yard par 4 that requires an approach shot over water to a green framed in back by out-of-bounds stakes. There are additional sets of tees that can be used when playing an 18-hole round on this course, which has few trees and no bunkers.

Legend has it that Byron Nelson once intentionally three-jacked the 18th hole to avoid breaking the course record of 60 so that a local golfer could retain the record. This is a links-style layout with lots of moguls and small undulating greens. You'll find yourself hitting lots of bump and run shots.
