Fairway's grass need to be cut, nice greens
Is a nice course but the grass on fairways is not to good, the greens are slow but in pretty good condition missing bunkers and is easy for longer hitters.
Definitely Coming Back Here Soon!
My buddy had suggested we make a little road trip out of it and drive out to play Faith Bridge.
We hopped in the car and it took about 45 minutes but it was WELL worth it. The staff is beyond friendly and the course is "average" i would say.
The greens were hard so you had to land short and play for the roll which is not my style but i still enjoyed the course so much.
Definitely reccommended for anyone that shoots 85-100+
Affordable Fun
This course is out in farm country. It is a short layout with some challenging routing and very good greens. The greens are small and contoured, precise irons are required on several of them to get close to the pin. This is a good layout for walking, especially if you don't do so frequently.
I always enjoy the course, however the greens were slower than usual.
It's a good friendly atmosphere and the course is well maintained. The staff always make you feel welcome.
Good Value
Open layout with position as the key to playing this course.
you get what you pay for, and a little more...
the clubhouse is nothing to write home about, the young lady that runs the "pro shop" and snack bar is very nice, good selection of beers at a reasonable price, now to the course: fun design, many unlevel tee boxes, fairways recovering from drought, lots of water hazards, hard greens, i had fun at this course, doubt i'll go back unless i hear about much improvements...
Decent country course. Good value.
Good value if you do not mind the drive out the extra miles from Houston.
Good course
For the price, this was a good course. Playing in the middle of the summer, you often see dry fairways and such. But the greens were pretty decent. Overall, good course
NEEDS WATER BADLY
First and foremost the course needs water in a bad way.The man running the clubhouse needs a lesson in customer service. He also needs to take a course to learn how to work a computer, he had no clue how the Golf now deal works. He had me pay for my round and a few minutes later when I was warming up on the range, came out questioning my reservation and wanted to charge me more because I was a single. They had recently aerated the greens which of course is always an inconvenience, and without water they stay like that for some time. IMHO not worth it.
Chill Time
Serenity now! Serenity now! Country course with character! Pros: Usually wide open; no houses; quiet and peaceful; nice fairly contoured greens. Cons:During drought times(often) fairways can be a little thin; no drinking water on course. Overall: Excellent value...$25 for 18 and a cart aint too shabby! Also have 9 hole rates. Want the exercise? Pay $15 and walk the 18! Don't like cow pastures? Rather play a five hour round for $85? Head back toward Houston about 15 miles and play there!
Good value course
Good carts, irons only range, greens in good shape. Fairways had mixed grasses, rough has open championship high grass in patches. It's was a good challenging course at a great Golfnow rate.
Nice greens
The greens and rough around the greens were exceptional compared to the backyard look of the fairway and uneven tee boxes. I did enjoy the layout and openness of the course. It was great to crush a drive straight, but it was like hitting in your yard with the irons. Lol. Still hit most if them clean none the less.
Fox Creek
Fox Creek is a fun place to play. The back nine was the hardest to play whith all the water around the greens but still alot of fun. Once they get thru with the greens it will be great. I plain on playing there again in July cant wait to see how they are.
Hacker heaven
Calm, friendly, country golf in a relaxed atmosphere.
Poorly maintained. Rough fairways. Terrible(CANCER) greens!
I had to drive 73.7 miles one-way to play in a cow pasture. The course writeup was very inaccurate. Small tee boxes and greens; both poorly maintained! What fairways?! I got a great value to play this course and still LOST money!! Do not be fooled by anything you hear good about this course.
Great value
Course was in good condition, and you can't beat the price!
Greens bald. Fairways were hard. Rough, prairie like.
Inexpensive but should be less. I saw the Marshall twice in the 5+ hours we were there. Once, near water looking for lost balls and again on about the 15th hole doing nothing. There were some golfer taking many extra shots when play was already slow. The greens had no grass. The rough was just wild. The fairways were bad.
