Glenbrook Golf Course

The golf : Imagine the 1920s when golf courses were built by hand and the sand greens were rolled smooth with oil. Historic Glenbrook was around in those days-this 9-holer opened in 1926. In the 1980s Houston reworked Sims Bayou into a flood relief tool and changed the routing of the course. However, Robert McKinney was able to redesign the course and involve the bayou on seven holes.
The most noticeable problem facing golfers at this Houston muni is the tee shots that require carries of up to 200 yards.
