Houston Hills is a links-style course built by Chuck Berson in 1988. Although some of the fairways are lined by trees, the course is mostly open and routes around several irrigation lakes that come into play. Berson created small greens with mild undulations that make for challenging targets.
The front side boasts the two best holes. No. 5 goes 202 yards over a lake, but plays into one of the largest greens on the course. No. 9 is the signature because it requires a mid-iron approach over water to an island green.
Getting there : From Hwy 59, take Beltway 8 going South. Later you'll need to make a U-turn on the Beltway toward Hwy 59-turn off on the first road on the right.
