Texas Par Golf Academy

Texas Par is a 9-hole executive track with a good combination of open and wooded holes. Water comes into play a few times, but its signature is its small, undulating greens. No. 8 is the longest and most likely to blow up your round-a 470-yard par 5 that bends left and features an approach into a green bordered by water on the left.
Getting there : From Downtown Houston, take Hwy 6 south 1.5 miles past Westheimer St. to the course. The entrance is on the right side of the road.
