As its name implies, this new par 3 is created for the family. It's a great place to kill an afternoon piddling around the 5,000-square-foot pro shop for odds and ends, practicing on the driving range or putting green, or dallying late into the night on the lighted par 3 course.
This one is challenging, featuring some swamp that comes into play as well as a lake that impacts three holes. Bunkers, both sand and grass, dot the 60 acres.
The best hole is the last: a 214-yarder over the swamp to a shallow green.
Getting there : From I-10, take Hwy. 59 north to the Kingwood Dr. exit. Make a U-turn and look for the entrance on the right side of the road.
