Lufkin Country Club

The LCC is an old course, dating back to the 1920s, that features a heavily wooded layout with a very interesting set of holes. Hills provide fun elevation changes and water comes into play on several holes, but the most interesting feature is that the front nine plays to a par 37 with three par 5s.

Hole 6 offers one of the better birdie chances-a short par 5 at 448 yards with a creek that cuts the fairway about 100 yards from the green. No. 8 is another reachable par 5, but this time it involves the creek crossing the fairway twice.

Rarely do you find a drive-able par 4 on a finishing hole, but LCC offers up a 298-yard test with out- of-bounds on the right as the ender.
