Gleann Nine at Gleannloch Pines Golf Club
One of Houston's top-rated public courses, Gleannloch Farms features a Jay Riviere 27-hole track on the site of the formerly world-famous Gleannloch Arabian Horse Farm. Loaded with rural charm, the gently rolling terrain snakes through the tall pines highlighted by strategically placed lakes, sand bunkers, and grass bunkers. While houses are nearby, the dense woods keeps the course secluded and peaceful-feeling.
The Gleann nine is a bit more user friendly, only tipping out at 3,355 yards since it sports three long-iron par 3s. Hole 9 is the longest, a 598-yard par 5.
Getting there : Glennloch Farms is located 28.7 miles (40 minutes) NW of downtown Houston, situated east of Hwy. 249 and north of FM 1960.
