The TCC goes 3,140 yards over 9 holes, with tight fairways and unbelievable greens. The oil hands needed a place to play so Humble Oil took care of their folk, carving a 9-holer out of the tall pines. Nos. 6 and 9 stand out-the first because of its 601-yard length, the second because of its approach over water.
Ask for the "Tomball special" where you can play the two sets of tees for an 18-hole round. Note the significant difference in difference in distance when playing from the next set of tees.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 45 north out of Houston, then FM 2920 north for 6 miles to the Walden Woods subdivision. Turn left on Walden Way and drive a short distance to the course.
