Dogwood Hills opened in the early 1990s and has gained a reputation as one of the nicest 9-hole courses around. The layout is bit tricked up, with several blind tee shots, but that seems to blend in well with the overall golf experience without detracting from the round. The design is extremely tight, with quite a few hills.

The best hole is No. 5-a 374-yard, par 4 that features a huge oak tree in the middle of the fairway that impacts the tee shot.

Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 north out of Houston to Livingston. Next take Hwy. 190 east to Woodville, and continue on 190 about 3 miles to the course. The entrance is on the left.

This course is very challenging. Up and down hills with tight fairways and average size greens.
