Fort Brown Memorial is a short, charming 18-hole public course that was built on the historic grounds of Fort Brown in the 1950s. We recommend that you take in the atmosphere by walking this course, as the terrain is flat and easy to negotiate. Fort Brown serves up a 230-yard par 3 as its finishing hole, which generally plays into the prevailing wind.
Be sure to take advantage of the one-night Paradise Golf Package at the Holiday Inn Fort Brown (956-546-2201), which features breakfast and 18 holes with a cart.
Getting there : From Hwy. 77 south, drive until the road ends and turn right on International Blvd. Proceed over the International Bridge and make a left on Ft Brown Rd. Go to the end of Ft. Brown Rd. and turn left on River Levee (Little League Park).
