Cuero's 9-hole public golf course dates back to the 1920s. This is a small-town course, characterized by seven par 4s with open fairways that allow for wildness off the tees. Two sets of tees make for an 18-hole round. The easiest hole is the 132-yard par 3 No. 3. The only par 5 is only 503 yards. Of the seven par 4s, No. 2 is the longest at 390 yards and is the number one handicap.
Getting there : From Hwy. 87 driving north, the course is in town across the street from the Wal-Mart. Look for the rock gate.
