Pleasanton's semi-private country club features 18 holes of tree-lined fairways and large greens. The course is flat, and the layout makes it enjoyable to walk. Watch out for the mature oak trees that can impact your shots. Water comes into play on only five holes.
The number one handicap is the par 5, 534-yard 13th hole; however, three of the four par 3s play over 175 yards from the back tees. In fact, even the average golfer can manage this course from the back tees because there is a good mixture of average-length holes with a few longer ones thrown in. Two solid birdie chances are Nos. 6 and 10. Hole 6 requires no more than a 9 iron, and No. 10 is a 300-yard par 4.
Getting there : From I-37 driving south, take Hwy 97 west, then drive a short distance to the course.
