If you’re only going to play one round in the area , make it this course! Great layout, best tees and fairways in the area! Only bit of a downfall was the furry greens, probably a 6 on stimp, but they are all alive and green in January!
Great Time
Course was in great shape, We were paired with another couple that were fun to make a round with.
Greens
The green were a lot slower then in the past. Every thing else was great.
Good layout decent condition
I have played this course 3 times now while on vacation here. The layout is very good with tees for any caliber player up to 6800 yards. The course is in decent condition with a few bare spot but overall pretty good. The greens run more slowly than I prefer but rolled truly. One day I played with another golfer and they said this course was in much better condition that two other courses in the area he had played
Good course for the dollar. But you better not mind wind.
Some of the Green's need repair. To many bald spots. And they were slow but certainly playable. The tee boxes were in great shape. The fairways were fine as well. Coming from a place with a lot of wind I was used to it. But it you find strong winds a problem you may want to think twice before booking.
Great scenery
Great water views, grass driving range, greens well kept. Staff was very friendly, left my wedge on 9 and they retrieved and got it back for me. Carts in good working order ice provided, assistance to the cart with bags, some grass spots on the course were cut out probably for future sod. Other then that great course would love to go again.
You’ve got to be honest on what the course offers right now. Tee boxes are garbage and the grass in fairways and roughs needs all the work.
What happened?
What looks like dead grass from t boxes through the fairway to areas around the greens. Evidently grass killer was used. Greens had been punched and sanded which seems late from what I know about other courses I play. There are still bad spots in the greens from prior year issues. Potentially a great course set up near a great beach area at SPI. I don’t think it was worth $58 on a Monday. I’ve played this course dozens of times and am disappointed.
Course in decent shape. Greens were left long requiring stiffer puts. Some greens need work. Overall a decent course for the Valley.
Greens
Unknown to me the greens had been recently overseeded and have not been cut in weeks. Virtually unplayable. Been nice to know that ahead of time.
That said, the course itself is very playable and fair.
