Windcrest is not as well known in San Antonio's golf portfolio, but offers a relaxing, simple place to play in the midst of all of the difficult championship courses. This 1960s-style 9-hole private executive track features averaged-sized fairways, water on a few holes, and two sets of tees to allow for an 18-hole round. Of the nine holes, three are par 3s, five are par 4s, and there is only one par 5, which is the 491-yard 9th hole.

Getting there : From San Antonio, take Hwy 10 east to Hwy 410. Turn north and exit Walsum Street, then turn east and proceed .5 mile to Midcrown Drive. Turn north and drive 6 blocks to the course. The entrance is on the right.
