Emerald Springs is the place where Lee Trevino honed his trade in the big-money El Paso games of the 1960s. The layout winds through a housing community and features wide fairways and large, well-maintained greens.
No. 2 is the most interesting hole on the front: 450 yards lined by out-of-bounds on the left and water fronting the green. On the back, hole 13 is 463 yards with water on the right side of a dogleg right, and a green that slopes towards the water.
The club is currently entertaining ideas of adding 18 holes.
Getting there : From I-10 east, exit Horizon, then drive north to Ashford St. Turn left and you'll see the course on the right.
