HUNTSVILLE, TX -- Waterwood National Resort and Country Club has been sold to Waterwood National Associates, LP. This organization is made up by Nocito Properties, LLC, a Pennsylvania based company, Nocito Family Partnership and Club Consultants, Inc (CCI).
A commitment has been made by Waterwood National Associates to return Waterwood National to its former place of prominence as one of Texas’ premier golf courses and destinations.
Along with their status as a limited partner in the organization, CCI has also been selected as the management company. CCI also owns and operates Tapatio Springs, one of Texas’ Top Five resort destinations, and has plans to help Waterwood National Associates bring Waterwood National to the same level of quality and conditioning.
Plans for a major renovation to the golf course, clubhouse and hotel facilities are scheduled to begin immediately and are planned for completion in the 12 to 18 months. Some of the projects planned include construction of new cart paths, renovation of golf course bunkers, tees and greens, refurnishing the hotel rooms and clubhouse, renovation of the 40 marina boat slips and the construction of 64 new hotel rooms, a 50 slot RV Park and a new marina store.
CCI has already made significant strides during its ten-month tenure as the management company for the previous owners, ORIXTEX, LLC.
Since April 2000, Waterwood has seen the arrival of a new fleet of golf carts and maintenance equipment, renovation of the clubhouse and Cabana exterior, new directional signage, construction and renovation of golf course bridges, and the installation of a new clubhouse roof, to mention a few of the completed projects.
The golf course has improved since under CCI’s management through aggressive maintenance practices and consistent quality standards. The Pete Dye designed course is already considered by Golf Digest as on of Texas’ Top Ten Resort courses, and will continue to improve through renovations and continuity of leadership.

Many people come to El Paso just to cross over into Mexico, but the Camino Real hotel and its acclaimed Dome Bar, plus a low-cost golf scene highlighted by a new Tom Fazio course, are reasons to stay north of the border.
