Located on the west side of town in a nice little Hill Country setting, the Brady Municipal Golf Course offers a 9-hole layout that features narrow fairways, mature trees, small greens, and water hazards on a few holes.
As you might expect, this small-town course offers a few great scoring opportunities. Holes 6 and 7 are par 4s that play 279 and 302 yards, respectively. No. 8 follows with a 138-yard par 3. If you can avoid blowing up on the opening holes (especially the 513-yard, par 5 No. 5), you can assure yourself of a nice round with this welcome stretch of holes.
Two sets of tees make for an 18-hole round on this 9-holer.
Getting there : From San Angelo, take Hwy. 87 south. Watch for the course when you are a few miles outside of Brady.
