Country singer George Strait and Tom Cusick have joined forces to revitalize Tapatio Springs Resort and Conference Center in Boerne, located about 20 miles northwest of San Antonio. Canyon Springs Golf Club offers San Antonio golfers an upscale, daily-fee play along with a taste of the Hill Country. The course boasts a ranch-style pro shop, original stagecoach-era troughs, and real Texas barbecue in the clubhouse. It doesn't need any of this Texas flair to be considered a top San Antonio course, however. Now just over a decade old, Canyon Springs deserves mention with public Alamo City standouts like The Quarry, The Bandit, The Republic and SilverHorn Golf Club.
