Reese Air Force Base has closed its doors, but it’s been reinvented and remodeled as Reese Center. This facility west of Lubbock is a center for research, education, and aviation as well as home to an 18-hole, 6,633-yard golf course.
Be ready for the prevailing wind here at Reese–it will seem like you’re hitting every shot into the wind. The most demanding hole is No. 4, a 406-yard par 4 that can play more like a par 5 when the wind is howling.

Other notes: The course is adding trees to improve the course, and a GPS system has been added to the cart fleet. One paid green fee allows you to play all day.

Getting there : From Hwy 87 south, travel 20 miles then get off the 4th St. exit and proceed straight for 2 miles. This street dead-ends at Reese AFB.

After spending 5 minutes discussing a pricing mistake by the "manager", which came to be whopping 92 bucks for two green fees?? (32 + 32 = 64... not?!?) he proceeded to give up on basic mathematics and told us to leave because he was having an OK day... then called the number I used for a tee time to tell my friend, who is black, that we were mutherF*CKers!!! (seriously... which is why I am taking my own time now to properly display what customer service is) so If your looking for a mediocre, over-priced, blatantly rude setting with several missing greens THEN this is the PERFECT course for you!!!!!
