Memorial Park Golf Course brings the woods to downtown Houston. Smack dab in the middle of an industrial area, near the skyscrapers, an old course that traces its history back into the 1920s draws Texas duffers today.


This is a muni that people enter a lottery to get prime tee times on.


It looks like no other golf course in Houston. The trees are old, forbidding and moss-draped. A number of have big branches that creep into the edges of fairways to play with your shot - and your mind.
