Legends of Lake LBJ

The golf : This course, designed by Tom Kite and Bechtol-Russell, is slated to open for limited play in April 2003. Nine holes are complete and the grass has grown in. The clubhouse construction began in January 2003, and the additional nine could open as early as the summer.

The course is a semi-private facility on Lake LBJ that is the centerpiece of a residential community. Play will be open to the public on weekends only. The April opening is slated for Thursday-Sunday, with “property owners, members, and guests” having access to the course.

The temporary accommodations include a makeshift starters facility located at the Legends Park Area, with play beginning on hole 2 and finishing up on No. 9. In addition to the putting and chipping area, there is a temporary irons-only driving range in place.
