Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay designed this new course, sometimes referred to as Lakecliff on Lake Travis, which features 12 man-made lakes, waterfalls, and spectacular Hill Country views. Laid out near the 165-mile chain of Hill Country lakes called the Highland Lakes, the course plays 6,724 yards to a par 71 and offers breathtaking, rolling terrain through the cliffs and ravines that plunge towards Lake Travis. The route has five par 3s and fis fairly user-friendly.

Getting there : From Austin take Hwy. 71 west to the Hwy. 620 intersection. Turn right and drive 12 miles. You’ll cross the Pedernales River and a few miles past will come upon Pale Face Ranch Rd. Turn right and drive 1 mile past the Barton Creek Lakeside entrance. Lakecliff’s entrance is on the left.

The bent-grass greens are the best thing about the course.....the fairways and tee box areas are average. The bunkers / sandtraps are extremely poor! Nut grass growing on the 2nd cut is pretty bad, as well!

Practice area and putting green is excellent! This is a very good lay-out but is in need of someone to take MUCH better care of the course!

Great club with a true Texas, laid back atmosphere. Greens are second to none, service is fantastics and the practice facilities are well above average.

The golf experience is fair but you will be punished for bad shots. The rough can be difficult and traps are well placed and some are deep. There are many risk / reward holes and there each and every hole on this golf course is well done and fair to golfers of all abilities.

The greens hold from any distance with a crisply struck shot.

My kids love the place and we rarely play anywhere else.
