Rockwood Municipal Golf Course

The golf : The Rockwood muni dates back to the 1930s when John Bredemus added this course to his extensive design resume. Today 27 holes exist after Ralph Plummer came through for a renovation. Great examples of old-school architecture, all three nines are similar in design. The Red and White courses are virtual twins, except that the Red Course is void of water. The Blue Course, considered the most difficult of the two, has the Trinity River coming into play on about seven holes and serves up one of the longest par 5s in Texas–the 667-yard No. 5.

Other notes: The clubhouse includes a golf shop and snack shop with inside seating. A remote practice range is available, but is limited to hitting and retrieving your own golf balls.
