This course has a very interesting, hilly layout.
The course is in very good condition for December golf. There is a management transition occurring, but the pro shop staff is excellent.
Great place to play. will go back.
Only found the course a couple of weeks ago and this is our second visit and not our last. In general the course is in good condition although a few greens have bald spots or sand on them. Also a few tee boxes are a bit rough. The course can be tough especially if you draw the ball due to the trees. Some holes are blind so the first time you play the yardage book they sell is a must. Could do with a marshal out on course just to keep slow groups moving.
Good for this time of year.
The course is in pretty good conditon for this time of year, you need to keep your ball in play, hard to find if it gets in the rough.
Some areas a little dry, but no rain in over a month hasn't helped either. No beer sales really stinks too!
Gteat course!
Great course. Will definitely go back. Better than courses much more expensive
Course is in very good shape
Greens were super fast and rolling true but most of them were not as receptive as I have seen here before. Course is in very good shape overall and always a challenge. You must hit it straight or pay the toll on this course.
The course is in good shape and you need to hit the drive straight.
The greens are in good shape and green, the fairways are in good shape. Each hole has it's own challenges and makes you think as well as requires good control. The course is not real long but fun. You do not come around the clubhouse after starting so take a snack and drink with you.
Wedgewood!
Course is in good shape for this time of year when most are not even golfing in othe parts of the country. We had a great day here!
Rolling hills, doglegs left, doglegs right.
Love the blind shots on quite a few holes. Wavey greens, and stay short of the trees!
Challenging fairway lies
Played the course mid day during the week. The course was in pretty good condition and there was no problem with the Pace of Play.
Good course important information
I enjoyed playing this course, But be warned, it is an iron only course. I am not a long hitter, but when I'm on the green in 2 shots on a par five, after hitting a 4 iron and a 7 iron it's too short. There was also a par 3 that was 88yrds...playing from the blues. Most of the time you are hitting into the blind. I have nothing against the course, it was a really nice course, and fun, but the course is a target golf course.
great value
Played on the weekend including cart for less than $20 using a hot deal.
The staff is very accommodating and wants you to have a great time.
The course has lots of elevation changes. Greens and fairways were in good shape.
Average course conditions but worth the money if you use the Golfnow booking discount. Lots of blind tee shots.
Wedgewood offers a nice deal on Golfnow. I wouldn't pay the full price without the Golfnow booking. Beware of blind tee shots and what club to use off the tee. I played the tips and using a driver is a challenge if you do not drive the ball well. If you can hit your targets, you'll score well. Greens are average to below average.
tough and tight. not for pansy course beginners.
Fairways are tight, with a good bit of well placed water. You must keep it straight and play stagiticly. I enjoyed it.
Challenging course
This past summer the course has looked better than it has in years. Efforts have been in place to improve, still average maintenance though. Extremely challenging, as a whole short course with thin fairways, many dog legs, island green, some ponds to carry and a lot of elevation challenges. Extremely pleasant staff. Possible their biggest challenge is the clubhouse is only accessible at the beginning and end of the course.
Fantastic target golf with elevations changes throughout.
This course presents challenges unlike most Houston area courses with the elevation changes...uphill & downhill shots are in abundance here. The fair ways are narrow & treelined. Cant spray your ball here! The small but undulating greens also present a challenge to all golfers. Course conditions are presently great & its the best value in the Houston area.
Nice Staff but Course Needs work
The staff is exceedingly nice and always ready to help. The course tee boxes, fairways, and greens are really in need of maintenance. Very challenging track that just needs some minor imporvements to be very nice.
Great Value and Fun
I played with 2 friends and we all enjoyed Wedgewood. Lots of elevation changes and unique Greens. One of the best values in the North Houston Area.
Very Nice Course.
This course has doglegs which can be quite challenging, as well as being tree lined. Every time I've played the course, it has been relatively dry, even after a good rain fall.
Excellent golf course and pace of play.
There is nothing negative I can say about this course. I found a few holes very challenging because I had to go over the water or woods. It is a course that you need to manage well and distances are very well designed. Condition of the fairways and greens were excellent considering this summer hasn't been that wet here in Texas. It gets a five stars from me and I will play it again at least once a month.
Challenging but not difficult
Would play this course again. Friendly staff. Good value.
