Decent course with a lot of doglegs
This course wasn't in the greatest shape when I played it and could've used some attention to the fairways and tee boxes. Fortunately the greens were in good shape and rolled fairly true which made up for it. Every other hole on this course is a dog leg and you really have to play to the appropiate distances. Overall, not a bad course but there are better courses out there for the money.
Good value, fun layout, very friendly staff
Played here 15 years ago and it was in a lot better shape. A little rough around the edges now, but greens are in good shape and difficult enough to be the main protection of the course. Layout is interesting, and staff is super friendly. Overall we enjoyed the experience.
This course makes you work the ball
I really enjoy playing this course it's always been excellent condition and the staff is excellent. I enjoy playing the course because it makes you work the ball either way and the green are tricky.
Good combination of yardage of the holes
I lost a few balls as I tend to slice, but I would play it again. It was a great value for the price I paid on Golfnow.
Excellent experience, a must play course
When I visit a new course for the first time, I always keep my expectations in check. Saw a couple of nice reviews on Wedgwood and thought I'd try it out. GPS led me astray and Phil was very kind to put up with several of my calls to help me find the course. Once there, my day just kept getting better and better. Super friendly staff, beautiful well-maintained course, overall awesome experience. Thank you Phil and crew, you've got a customer for life, well worth the drive from Spring!! See you soon.
Great short course with many interesting holes.
One of my favorite courses in the Houston area. Short and narrow, the course winds through a pine forest. Course conditions were excellent. Greens were in the best condition I have seen in many years.
Highly recommend.
Very Mature Course
Don't know that I'd call this course a gem, but it's definitely an interesting afternoon. The topography is almost dramatic at points.
Many natural hazards to negotiate (without feeling contrived). Course was a tad bit rough around the edges, but played fair and is a good test.
Most important, the greens were in nice shape.
Challenging course from tips and requires great accuracy off tee. Great condition
For a Houston course, Wedgewood has a lot of elevation changes and some blind shots. Miss the fairway and you're likely in the trees chipping out or you're in one if many water hazards. The course is in great shape and is a terrific value too.
Awesome course
This course has a lot of blind spots and hidden greens due to the elevation changes all over the course. Very fun and challenging course to play...
Good seniors course, but too short and tight for my game to enjoy.
Nice course but every hole is a dog leg left or right and very tight tree lines. Can only use driver on a few holes. Greens were consistent. Would be a good course to play on a windy day and had lots of shade on the very hot day.
Very small greens
I've never seen 18 greens this small - not just one of them, but every single one! Along with some crazy ridges on the greens, many blind shots and large dog legs, it made my first trip tough to score.
Tee boxes had not been cut in several days. Greens were ok at best - slow and grainy.
As a occasional visitor to the area, I will not be back.
Definitely not the 4star course that these ratings give it. Worth 25$, not the 40$ plus.
Course is in good shape considering.
Considering the fact that we have not had a lot of rain, the fairways and greens were in good shape. Greens are small and protected. Approach shots have to be accurate. Many dog legs as well so position off tee is important.
Somewhat tough with little room for driving errors.
For $22 I cannot complain. Challenging off the tee with lots of blind shots. If course was in better shape, it would be awesome. Dry conditions, but I'll chalk that up to the lack of rain we've gotten this year. Would play again.
Great value
First time to play the course and really enjoyed it. Lots of dog legs allowed me use my long irons from the tee as my driver wasn't real accurate. Fairly tight fairways. Play slowed on the back 9 but was tolerable. Coming from flat land courses...we enjoyed the terrain! Would play it again!
Good course challenging greens
Enjoyed the round even while temps in Conroe reached 101 degrees. No problem with pace of play at 2pm - few ventured out into the heat. Course in good shape but everything could use a good drink of water from Mother Nature. Greens were the trickiest as some pin placements were on or near fall lines. Had a very good day and thought it was a good value offered by Golf Now. Highly recommend.
Fun course
This course is full of doglegs! Enjoyed playing there.
Value, maintained, and fun
This was the first time that my brother and I have played this course. We both ended our round saying that for half the price on a Sat. of many neighboring courses it was well worth the money. The fairways were in good condition and the greens had no sign of burning. The only drawback we had was that our SLOW group of older gent's. in front of us took 5 holes to let us play through. Other than that we finished in under 4 hrs as a 2some. I will certainly play this course in the future and recommend it to anyone that wants to play for less than $75 on a weekend, through GolfNow we got it for $35 on Sat morning!
Lot of blind shots but fun course.
Good condition but tee boxes needed mowing. You don't return to the clubhouse at the turn, so load up before you start.
