The course is challenging but not extremely difficult. Nice scenery but the maintenance of the course needs much improvement. Could be a really nice course. Bunkers are pretty ugly and some tee boxes as well. Not a ball washer on the course anywhere. No yardage markers at tee boxes. Has some 150 yd markers. Hardly any trash cans on the course. 2 port o Johns on hole 6 and that’s it. That’s what you get for $60.

Good: Price, condition (except for bunkers), BYOB.
Bad: Bunkers were in horrible shape.

Greens were in good shape but the bunkers were in horrible shape. That said, for the price it is a good value.

The most beautiful layout I've ever played. It's a wonderfully challenging course with gorgeous wildlife, scenery and golf. Can't beat the prices, either. I scored about 20 strokes above my normal round and didn't care because the course was that good. My only complaint is that the greens could have been taken care of a little better. If you play here, you better bring your "A" game 'cause you're gonna need it. I will definitely be playing this course again soon.

A great deal and a beautiful course. No clubhouse per se but what the heck - it's BYOB! It's part Gary Palmer designed and is long and tough. Just up the road (Honea Egypt) from Woodforest at Fish Creek, golfers would be well advised to stay nearby and enjoy some of the best courses Texas has to offer.
