Windrose Golf Club

The golf : Windrose is a fun golf course that rolls through the wetlands, lined by oaks and pines and spotted by lakes that come into play on about half of the holes. On this relatively easy course, most of the greens are open and do not require forced carries. The large greens make for welcome targets, and they roll fast and true.
The best hole is the lone 458-yard par 4 No. 13, which is dominated by impressive old oak trees and plays into a well-bunkered green that is bordered from behind by a lake.

Getting there : Take I-45 north from Houston to FM 2920, then turn left and drive to Kuykendahl. Turn left and find Windrose .5 mile down on the right side.
