Buccaneer Bay Resort Golf Course

The golf : Lined with beautiful live oak trees, and a series of scenic lakes and ponds, Rockport's only public golf course is perfect-it offers a quick place to play when vacationing in the area with family, and is also a great place for a practice round the day before your round at Live Oak Country Club.
The holes on this 9-hole track average about 160 yards. After your round, have a beer in the charming, two-story clubhouse, then cruise around scenic and historic Lamar Street.
Note that the course is closed on Wednesdays through the end of November, then opens seven days a week to accommodate the winter Texan crowd.

Getting there : Located on Lamar Peninsula near Goose Island State Park. Go through Rockport / Fulton toward Tivoli and go over the causeway. Turn on Park Rd. 13 at the Exxon station, then left on Bois d' Arc.
