Regulation Course at Sunset Country Club

Not every facility is of championship caliber, but others still serve a purpose in fulfilling the needs of the golfing public. Sunset is a semi-private facility that features a regulation 18-hole course, as well as a 9-hole par 3 course with holes ranging from 50 to 165 yards. So while the conditions may not be the greatest, it's hard to complain about the availability of a quick practice round on the par 3 course prior to teeing off on the big course.

When you look at the score card for the regulation course, you'll quickly determine that the back nine is much easier than the front. The front features the five easiest holes, while the back nine challenges you with significant length and the three most difficult holes. The finisher isn't considered among those holes, but is still tough at 573 yards from the back tees.

Getting there : Exit 385 off of I-20 and take Hwy. 385 north. Continue 12 miles and the course is on the left.
