About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in Jan 2018.
Lost Creek Golf Club is located on the southwestern edge of Fort Worth and labels itself “the best golf value in Fort Worth.” The golf course, designed by Leon Howard in 1971, has changed ownership too many times to count and is now a public course. Howard’s design utilizes elevated tees and a tree-lined creek to add character to the course.
While there are two long par 4s, most holes play in the mid-300-yard range, making it a relatively short layout at only 6,388 yards. Holes of note are the 433-yard 13th, featuring a creek that crosses in front of the tee and pinches the fairway along the left side, and the difficult No. 18, where the creek cuts across the fairway twice, making it a long 526-yard hole.
The best tip for approach shots is to keep the ball below the hole, as most of the greens slope from back to front.

Personnel don't seem to be happy
Restrooms at #15 closed up. No other options till you return to clubhouse. Attitude of player assistant/marshall very poor. Not at all friendly when acknowledged on course...THREE TIMES. Seems like course is in some sort of transition/ownership change. No one seems at all happy.
goat ranxh
Go elsewhere. Really bare and greens are short cut fairway grass. Regardless of price go anywhere but this place.
We are so sorry you are unsatisfied with the conditions of the course.
Not fun
Got a great deal for a 2:30 afternoon round so we decided to try this course. It was a mistake.
Through the first nine holes we waited somewhere between 15 and 20 minutes sitting in our golf cart waiting for the group in front of us, who were hitting 6-10 strokes each before reaching the green. They were goofing around and paying no mind to pace of play. After 5 holes we called the pro-shop from our cart to ask them to send out an attendant to encourage a faster pace. Instead, two holes later, they sent out an 80 year old man, who was very nice, to apologize to us rather than speed up the slow group ahead. The front nine holes took us almost 2hrs 45min. We ended up playing the front nine again rather than the back nine in order to get out from behind the slow group.
In addition to the poor pace of play the course looked like it hadn't been mowed in a week and the greens were some of the worst I've played this summer at an 18-hole course. It's too bad because the course layout is fun and offers plenty of opportunity to attack if it were in some sort of shape. Instead, the fairways might as well be the rough and there are weeds, sand, and holes all over the greens.
Overall, don't go here if you are trying to play a competitive round with your friends. This course is for beginners and those who don't really care about score.
We apologize you were displeased with the pace of play during you round. If there is anything we can do please let us know. We want your time spent here to be worth your time!
Could have been........
It had been years since I played here so had to learn the course again.
Could have been a very good round if it weren't for the bad course conditions. I understand Texas heat, but several courses out there are in MUCH better condition right now. Fairways were spotty and dry, greens were really poor almost like putting on a gravel road a few times. The practice green was in great shape! Rolled smooth and fast, major disappointment that NONE of the 18 greens were even close to that.
Best part of the round was happy hour $1.50 drafts at the clubhouse. Especially since there was no cart service on the course.
For such a nice layout, the parent company needs to pump some money into the course and get it back in great shape.
We are working on improving the conditions of the course! The Texas heat can be rough on golf courses! Please come back soon and give us another shot!
Course can be challenging
Course has narrow, dogleg fairways lined with residential out-of-bounds (especially on the front side). Many greens have sloping terrain as well as the slope on the greens. Course is of average length. Precision will work better than going for length off most tees.

Lost Creek
This course was in fair condition. The greens definitely need some work on them.

This course was the best
Course was one of the best at one time. I was disappointed. Just not being maintained.
We are sorry to hear you are unsatisfied with the conditions of the course!
Funding Issue?
First tee you'll run the street, not a cart path because it's washed out over the creek. That's no big deal.
1st green looked ok, but not mowed. On a Saturday morning 7:30 am tee time. No. 2 green, probably not mowed in 3 days. Weeds all over it. Crater gaps without grass. Had to relocate my ball to avoid putting through the craters. No. 3 green looked ok. From then on, bunkers and greens were generally un-maintained.
Trees are grown in to a point along fairways it's almost too tight of a window from the tee. Needs more yardage marked. I used to play this course a lot 10 years back. Haven't been there in years. Probably not returning. Shame.
We deeply apologize you were dissatisfied with the conditions of the course. If there is anything we can do for you please let us know! We really hope you will give us another chance!
Great Course for the Price
Overall this course was great for the price. Some of the water hazards appeared less than clean, but I'll chalk that up to the lack of rain we have had in the area. I did get stuck behind a large group that didn't seem interested in letting me play through so the last 6-7 holes went pretty slow, but that's nothing the course can really control I suppose. I will certainly be playing here again.

Terrible
The overall condition of this course is terrible, especially the greens.
Lost Creek
Good course, I had fun. The course is in good shape.
lost creek golf course
This was by far one of the worst golf experience I've had. The staff was preoccupied with the TV in the pro shop to tell you how to get to the range before play. You had to park your cart in the street for the 1st tee. Sprinklers on at 9:00 am while people are trying to play. Basketball size sand spots in a good portion of the greens along with huge spots of nice crab grass scattered all through them also. This course should not be priced to play what it is. Pictures of the facility on their website must be from 10 years ago. I've played much nicer courses for a lot less!!!
Course was great except for some of the trees.
My only complaint about the course was that a lot of tree branches blocked some of the tees
Lost creek
For $20 it's not a bad course but I believe their regular green fees are around $40. The course is kind of rough. The fairways and greens need work. The prices on the food and drinks are higher than almost every over course in north Texas. I would rather pay higher green fees and play at a more well maintained course.
Great course for the money!
Only 2 complaints. Some of the greens needed work, didn't see the cart girl until the 18th hole. Other than that the course was great! Have already recommended to several friends.
greatly improved over 2 weeks ago
Tee boxes and fairways are in good shape. Some parts of fairways a little yellow from crabgrass treatment(that's a good thing). Greens are in good shape with the exception of #10 and it is much better than 2 weeks ago. Well worth playing considering the variety of holes and scenery.
Greens are in bad shape!
The course is great, but the greens are in bad shape! Need to be addressed so we can enjoy it more.
Not even worth the $20 rate
The greens are terrible - sand spots all over them. The club house closed at 6:00 on Saturday evening - we teed off just before 4:00. No cart girl and nothing available at the turn because everything was closed - they didn't tell us they would close at that time either - nothing was posted. The guy at the counter said they just close whenever they feel like it??
a little rough on the greens
the fairways were In overall good condition it seems like the course is understaffed greens are rough and needed attending the layout is very good pace of play was fast there was no one playing besides me that day which was nice.
Not sure I have ever played on greens as bad as these!
I would have thought with all the rain we have had over the last few months the course would have been in better shape. The greens are the worst I have ever played on.
We are so sorry to hear that our staff at the course had a poor attitude. I would like to ensure you that we hold our staff to an exemplary level of customer service and I deeply apologize for your experience. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to ensure your next time at Lost Creek is more pleasant.
