A demanding, modern course designed primarily by Ken Dye, with some input from Joe Finger and Byron Nelson, the private Stonebriar CC course is adjacent to the Tom Fazio course that's open for club members and guests of the resort.
Dye’s design routes around four interconnecting lakes that bring water into play on 13 of 18 holes. The fairways feature severe undulations, and the greens are extremely quick. Both Senior PGA and LPGA events have been held here, and participants confirmed that the most difficult hole is the 438-yard No. 9. Water squeezes the fairway on both sides, and the landing area narrows and eventually becomes all water at 230 yards out. This means that the long approach is going to be testy into the green protected by water on the right.
On the back, No. 15 is considered the most difficult–another long par 4 that rolls alongside a creek on the right. Interestingly, the green on No. 15 is shared with hole 7.
Getting there : From Hwy. 121 north, take the Legacy exit west and the clubhouse is on the left side of the street.
